Burgundy contains numerous of hidden treasures. This is what we want to show you during this bike trip, led by your guide. You will discover at the begening of this trip the Burgundy off the beaten tracks, which hides little pearls as for the landscapes than for the built heritage.

Then, your guide will lead you following the green way through the most famous wines appelation and their villages which kept charm and authenticity. You will only have to follow your guide, thinking of nothing but the landscapes, the visits and enjoying the moment.

DAY 1 Arrival in Dijon – Bike trip to Châteauneuf-en-Auxois ~44 kms [+445-220]

You will be welcome in Dijon by your guide. He will give you your equipped bike, will explain the itinerary, answer your questions. Leave your luggage (we take care of them each day)!). Just follow your guide!

You leave Dijon via the lac Kir, then follow the cycle path along the Canal de Bourgogne. This canal leads you from one village to the other, from one lock house to the other, through the Auxois hills. You will arrive at the end of the day in the village of Châteauneuf-en-Auxois.

DAY 2 Châteauneuf-en-Auxois – Chassey-le-Camp ~55 Kms [+500 -700]

You will start your day with a nice slope, to cross the Canal de Bourgogne, and to get into the beautiful countryside of Auxois, in the middle of farms and nice countryside houses. It is an itinerary full of changes of scenery we propose to you this day, until the little town of Nolay, and its impressive market building next to church.

From Nolay, you will follow the nice cycling path using a former railway. Arrival at Chassey-le-Camp at the heart of the small valley.

DAY 3 Chassey-le Camp – Beaune ~29 Kms [+250 -347]

You leave Chassey-le-Camp and the quietness of the countryside to get into the ‘Côte de Beaune’ giving one of the better white wine in the world as Puligny-Montrachet and Chassagne-Montrachet. Keep going following the green way, you will continue in the direction of Beaune passing by Meursault and Pommard. Arrival in Beaune at the end of the day.

DAY 4 Beaune à Dijon 53 kms [+425 -400]

You leave Beaune using the green way, leading you very quickly to Savigny-les-Beaune, Pernand-Vergelesses ans Aloxe-Corton, the last appellations of Côte de Beaune. Then, you get into the Côte de Nuits, the land of the greatest red wine appellations. You will cross Nuits-st-Georges, then, Vosne-Romanée, Vougeot and the famous château du Clos de Vougeot. You will then cross Gevrey-Chambertin, and keep going to Dijon, the town of the hundred belltowers.

CHATEAUNEUF-EN-AUXOIS. Hostellerie du Château***

Located in the heart of the medieval and fortified village of Châteauneuf-en-Auxois, listed among the most beautiful medieval village of France, the Hostellerie du Château has 9 comfortable rooms. It is a family-run hotel; guests will appreciate the warm welcome in the pleasant house, situated at some meters from the XIIth century castle. The hotel has a restaurant offering a traditionnal cuisine and Burgundian specialities.

CHASSEY-LE-CAMP. Auberge du Camp Romain***

The hotel, on the hillside, welcomes customers in an idyllic setting on the road of the great wines of Burgundy. This hotel is located in a small and peaceful village. It offers nicely decorated rooms, an elegant dining room opening on a flowered terrace with a magnificent panorama of the hills, a cozy bar with lounge area. Customers will enjoy a Spa, indoor pool, outdoor pool, mini golf, tennis court, ping-pong table… The restaurant of the hotel offers a refined cooking.

BEAUNE. Hostellerie de la Bretonnière***

Nice hotel, hosted in an ancient relay station from XVIIIth century, at about 5 minutes’ walk from the center town. It is a family hotel, in a very peaceful place despite its location in town. The hotel has a nice garden, a conservatory, a terrace, a bar and a parking.

DIJON. Hotel des Ducs ***

The hotel des Ducs is a nice hotel, located in the historical centre of Dijon, 100 metres from the Tourist Office, the Dukes’ Palace and the Fine Arts Museum. The rooms are well decorated, and modern, with all the comfort needed. Customers will have breakfast in a pleasant conservatory.
