One day Bike and Wine tour in Côte de Nuits

In our Nuits-Saint-Georges agency, or after a short minibus transfer from Dijon or Beaune, you will meet your local guide. Following a brief introduction to your cycling excursion, your host will explain how to use your bike and help you adjust your helmet, ensuring you are comfortable and ready to ride.

You will then set off into the heart of the Burgundy wine region, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site under the name “The Climats of Burgundy.” Throughout the day, everything is designed to help you experience the very essence of Burgundy’s terroir.

The legendary Route des Grands Crus, often referred to as the Champs-Élysées of Burgundy, will be the guiding thread of your cycling journey. Riding north, we will reach Gevrey-Chambertin, home to no fewer than nine Grand Cru appellations. After a reading of the landscape and an explanation of Burgundy’s unique vineyard classification system, it will already be time for your first wine tasting. You will visit a traditional wine estate in the Côte de Nuits, explore its authentic cellar, and taste several wines produced on site.

Feeling a bit hungry? A few more kilometers along quiet, safe country roads will take you to Chambolle-Musigny, where a well-deserved lunch awaits you at a local restaurant.

Back on your bike, you will continue cycling through prestigious Grand Cru vineyards, passing the famous Clos de Vougeot, followed by the iconic Romanée-Conti vineyard — where, who knows, we may even catch a glimpse of the owner.

Your day will conclude with a final wine tasting at another wine estate. The atmosphere here is truly special, and this memorable place — along with its remarkable red wines — is sure to leave a lasting impression.

Finally, we will return to our agency in Nuits-Saint-Georges, and your guide will drive you back to Dijon or Beaune, depending on the option you selected.
